Press Information

Welcome to the ISTP 2026 press page. Here you will find practical information for media, including accreditation, media access within the official programme (please note that parts of the Summit are closed), and contacts for further inquiries.

ISTP 2026 takes place in Tallinn from 8–11 March 2026.

Main venue: Tallinn Creative Hub (Kultuurikatel), Kursi 3, Tallinn.

  • Media Accreditation

    Accreditation is required for access to ISTP 2026 media opportunities and the on-site press working area.

    How to request accreditation
    Please email your request to Ms Mirjam Mäesalu at META Advisory, the official communications’ partner for ISTP 2026: mirjam.maesalu@metaadvisory.ee.

    Please include:
    · Your full name and media outlet
    · Role (reporter/photographer/camera operator/producer, etc.)
    · Your phone number
    · A copy/photo of a valid ID document (for badge printing and venue access)

    On-site check-in and badge
    Accredited journalists will receive an identity badge at the registration desk and are requested to wear it visibly at all times.

    Press working area
    A dedicated working area is available for accredited media at the main venue. Wi-Fi is available on site.

  • Programme parts open to the media

    ISTP is primarily a high-level working summit; therefore, several meetings and sessions are closed to the public. The organising committee welcomes accredited journalists to the following programme elements:

    Monday, 9 March
    07:45–08:25 — Media Breakfast Briefing (for accredited media)
    Radisson Collection Hotel, Rävala 3, Tallinn, room Seville.
    Hosted by the ISTP 2026 Tallinn organising committee.

    Coffee and a light breakfast are served. Planned remarks by:

    • Kristina Kallas, Minister of Education and Research of Estonia
    • Andreas Schleicher, Director for Education and Skills at OECD

    09:00–10:30 — Visits to educational institutions Accredited journalists may join selected school visits by prior arrangement.

    11:00 onwards — EdTech Estonia EXPO
    Expo at the Creative Hub during the Summit days.

    11:30–12:15 — Official Opening Ceremony “Education in Estonia Through Time and Change” — an opening performance (“System Update”) tracing the evolution of education from 1880 to 2076, featuring an address by the President of Estonia and a keynote by Minister Kristina Kallas.

    13:30–15:00 — Opening Session

    Coffee breaks Press are welcome to film/photograph and capture the atmosphere during coffee breaks at the venue.

    19:00–22:00 — Dinner at Seaplane Harbour (limited media access by agreement)
    Official dinner for delegations. Media presence may be arranged as a pool/limited access (e.g., arrivals, brief photo/video moments).

    Tuesday, 10 March

    09:00–10:30 — Visits to educational institutions (media pool possible)
    Accredited journalists may join selected school visits by prior arrangement.

    11:00 onwards — EdTech Estonia EXPO

    Coffee breaks

    19:00–22:00 — Dinner at PROTO Invention Factory (limited media access by agreement)
    Official dinner programme (non-ministerial participants); media access may be arranged as a pool/limited access.

    Wednesday, 11 March

    09:00–10:30 — Visits to educational institutions (media pool possible)

    12:30–13:00 — Press Conference
    Tallinn Creative Hub (Kultuurikatel), Cauldron Hall.

    14:30–16:00 — Closing Session
